Department |
Department of Botany is very
important Department in Adarsh Mahavidyalaya, Omerga. Department of
Botany was established in June 1990.
It is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Dr. Umesh Tukaram Kesare, is the
Professor and Head of the Department of Botany. There are three faculty
members in the Department. Dr. Sarika Lokhande and Mr. Kapil Pawar. Department of Botany organizes so
many activities for the students.
Visiting faculties, Group discussions, Field excursions, Projects, Harbarium
of flowering plants, Herbarium of diseased plants from the regions of
Dharashiv (Osmanabad). Department of Botany
conducts seminars of students, webinars for the students, workshops etc. throughout
the year.

To Train & motivate the Students by
Visiting faculties & Professionals to prepare the Students for the higher
Education & job Oriented courses
Established teaching-learning processes as per NAAC standards. ·
To conduct job oriented Certificate courses
like Certificate course in Indoor
Plants. Certificate course in Disease management of some Kharif and Rabbi
Crops. ·
To train the students in the identification
of local and Forest Plants on the scientific base.

FUTURE PLAN

We are going to have the Recognition for the Research
Laboratory from the University. ·
Our Faculty Members are also going to submit the proposals
of Minor and Major Research Projects to the UGC. ·
We are going to submit the proposals of National and
International Conference to the UGC. ·
We have been trying to get register one ISSN Journal in
our Subject. ·
To enrich and develop the Departmental
Library. ·
Department of Botany Has Developed very beautiful Botanic
garden with classification with QR Code & scientific names. We are going to develop
the garden with Medicinal Plants from local
and the forest area.
