About department

Department of Physics is one of the most important departments in S.S.P.M.’s Adarsh Mahavidyalaya, Omerga Dist Osmanabad (MS) India. Department was established in June 1990, it has been affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Principal Dr. D.P. Garud (M. Sc. Ph. D) is the current Head of the Department. There are four faculty members in Physics department. All faculty members are research guide among them two faculty members Dr. Ramshetti R.S. , Dr. Dindore U.B. are Professors and Dr. Algude S.G. Associate Professor.  Department organizes various activities for the multilevel development of the students i.e. the Lectures of Experts, seminars, webinars, workshops, tours ,Skill based programmes, certificate Courses etc.

The department always tries to develop overall personality in Physics by conducting various student-centric activities frequently. The department organizes various programmes to inculcate Scientific, Social; National values and takes every effort for the betterment and development of Physics students.

To engender new developments in Physics with a view to promote special interest in entrepreneurship abilities of potential graduates by making available modern development in information technology.

• To make students aware about research areas and motivate for P.G.& Ph. D Program.
